Shumail Ibrar Javed is a technology executive, community builder, and proud Willoughby resident. He holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business and serves as CEO of MaxQA Testing, where he has built a career on accountability, careful planning, and delivering real results — the same principles he brings to serving his community.
A member of the Langley Sunrise Rotary Club, Shumail has built a strong record of giving back across the Township. Personally, His contributions include raising the second-highest amount of funds at last year’s Grand Parade for Langley Meals on Wheels, supporting the Giving Hearts Gala for the Langley Hospital Foundation, championing the Immigrant Women Initiative, and sponsoring the 75 Doors Campaign for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley, which creates pathways for children’s mentorship.
As a Rotarian, community advocate, and Willoughby resident, Shumail has seen firsthand how rapid growth without proper planning has affected our community: broken sidewalks, gridlocked traffic, crumbling infrastructure, and bylaw enforcement that simply isn’t keeping up. These aren’t just inconveniences — they’ve eroded the trust residents place in their Council.
That’s why Shumail is running for Township of Langley Council. He wants to be the practical, forward-thinking voice at the table — one that advocates for transparency, smart growth, and genuine engagement with residents, so Langley can grow without leaving its neighborhoods behind.
