Who we are
We're Langley Strong, a team of experienced councillors, trustees and community leaders running for Mayor, Council and School Board. Our goal: restore respect for you in Langley Township. That means affordability, stronger neighbourhoods, and government that actually listens.
Our story
Why we came together.
Like a lot of Langley residents, we watched Township Hall change over the past four years. Taxes climbed more than 22%, the debt piled up until we became the most indebted municipality in B.C., and big decisions were made behind closed doors while people who asked honest questions were ignored or treated very poorly. It seemed some of our municipal "leaders" had lost all respect for the people they were meant to serve.
So we started talking. Conversations among experienced councillors and trustees, small business owners, longtime volunteers, and community builders, and we kept landing in the same place. Langley deserves so much better, from people who will treat residents, and their money, with respect. Each of us could have gone our own way in this campaign. Instead, we chose to run as one team, with one goal: restoring respect in the Township of Langley.
What's at stake on October 17
This October, the choice is simple. Four more years of rising taxes and debt, with key decisions made behind closed doors – or a council that works together and treats you, your money, and your community with respect? Langley Strong brings experienced councillors, trustees and community leaders ready to put affordability, open government, and every community's voice first.
Our mission
To put Langley back on a positive path forward, with a Township government that earns trust, spends wisely, and puts residents at the centre of every decision.
Affordability
Respect for your money: taxes under control, our record debt coming down, prioritizing the right things, and full value for every dollar.
Stronger Neighbourhoods
Respect for every community: prioritized investment in parks, roads, recreation and safe streets, so services keep pace with growth.
Government that Listens
Respect for your voice: open books, real consultation before decisions, and honest answers at the Council and School Board tables.
What makes us different
Community-led, not a one-man show
Community-led, not a one-man show.
Langley Strong grew out of the everyday people of our Township, not out of a political machine. Here's what that means in practice.
Rooted in the community
Our candidates live here, work here, coach here, and volunteer here. Their track records are visible in the neighbourhoods they serve.
Strong voices, shared values
Each candidate brings their own experience and judgment. What unites the team is a set of commitments, not a party line.
Funded by residents
The campaign is powered by individual contributions from people who live here, within the limits set by Elections BC.
How we work together
One team. One goal. Restoring respect.
Langley Strong runs candidates for the roles that shape life in the Township, so the same respect for taxpayers and our community is evident in the mayor's chair, the council chamber, and the school board table.
Jay Lundgren
Leading the team with a positive vision for the Township: fiscal discipline, open government, and thriving communities.
Seven Council Candidates
Experienced councillors and ready-to-lead community members working as a team from day one.
Four Trustee Candidates
A team committed to student success, accountable and transparent decisions, and genuine partnerships.
"Different roles. Same commitments. A stronger Township of Langley."
